The established colony and all of its components (bees, comb, brood, honey) can be relocated to our apiary for $25 per hour.
Established colony and all of its components (bees, comb, brood, honey) can sometimes be removed with a trap-out.
All but one entrance to the hive are sealed and a cone is placed over that one entrance so bees can leave but cannot get back in.
A bated empty hive (lemon grass oil and queen pheromone) is placed near the entrance.
When all the bees are in the new bated hive the cone is remove allowing the bees to rob out the old hive of all the resources.
The entrance to the old hive is sealed and the bated hive is taken to our apiary
Traps out minimizes structural damage and repair but are very time consuming requiring multiple trips over and extended period of time.
One time fee of $650. If the trap-out does not work there is no charge.
If the trap-out works you have saved the cost of :
- Eradication to kill the bees
- Demolition of your building to expose the comb, honey and brood
- Cleaning up the sticky mess of a dead hive
- Carpenter and masonry work to repair damage to your building
- County and city permits and inspections
Eradication is often the safest and preferred choice when the colony is nesting in a location that poses a stinging threat to humans, does not facilitate safe removal (e.g., high up in a tree, deep in an occupied dwelling, near a school, etc.), or is deemed no longer able to thrive.
Only a licensed pest control company can provide the service of eradication of a colony
